The following information is generated by riders of the CVMBC who legaly ride the route only on the day of the event. Please read the following and respect the wishes of the land owners who grant permission to use their private land on the day of the event only. Without their support, the challenge could not take place.

The Colne Valley Mountain Bike Challenge is a personal challenge which takes place annually on public roads, lanes and bridleways, as well as private tracks and land. In order to access the private land on the DAY OF THE EVENT ONLY the organisers require special permission from a number of different bodies. Therefore, anyone attempting to ride the route outside of the official event is potentially eroding the good will of the landowners and jeopardising future events. We hope you will understand that this is a situation that we feel is best avoided and because of this we would actively discourage riders from pre-riding the course.
